Taking Back Sunday’s North American Spring Tour featuring The Menzingers and letlive. was the perfect combination of energy, band-crowd chemistry, and entertainment at Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, New York on March 15th. All three bands brought a packed house to Upstate Concert Hall, with people of all ages and walks of life ready to sing-a-long.
New Found Glory’s Sleep When I Die! tour hit the Paramount on Long Island on March 29 with support from Turnstile, This Wild Life and Turnover. The tour was set to be a great one based off of the line up but expectations were certainly exceeded from the amount of live energy and enthusiasm each band brought to the stage. Continue reading
How does a tour hit the same areas twice with the same headliners within a few months and have success both times around? Tours with multiple legs have been particularly popular recently; take the Black Mass Tour and The World Tour for instance. Both tours kept their headliners but changed openers. The World Tour on the second go around featured Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Sirens with support from PVRIS and Mallory Knox. The first leg of the tour was fantastic and the openers put on great sets and set the bar high for the support on leg two. The openers of leg two overall did an even better job. From the first song of each band the crowd seemed to all be familiar with all of the acts and was certainly ready to sing along.
We Came As Romans and Chiodos hit the road for a short co-headlining run before the holidays. They took two new bands with highly notable frontman, Slaves and Sleepwave, along with them for tour support. Fans lined up outside The Palladium in Worcester, MA in the cold hours before doors in order to get a good place, whether it be a spot on barricade or a booth to watch from further back. All four bands put on a great set so fans were sure to have a great time and the show was certainly worth the wait.
Before the year ends there’s 15 songs you need to check out if you haven’t heard them before so you start off the new year with some great new music! Some songs are probably a bit more well known than others but give everything a chance, there’s something for everyone! Check it out below:
Any time Black Veil Brides announces a tour, you know that they are going to bring all they’ve got. The energy and hype for a Black Veil Brides show is outrageous, with fans waiting outside for three or four hours before doors open in freezing cold temperatures just to get a good view of their favorite band. With opening bands Drama Club, Set It Off and direct support Falling In Reverse added to the tour, the energy and activity inside Upstate NY’s Upstate Concert Hall this Friday was just where it needed to be.
Fans lined up around the outside of the Toyota Oakdale Theatre last Wednesday hours before doors or the scheduled meet and greet with A Day to Remember in order to ensure a good spot to see four phenomenal bands on what was set to be one of the best shows to hit the area this year. A Day to Remember is well known for their outrageous production and antics but the production and stage presence of each band on this tour was above and beyond expectations. When doors came and fans were finally able to get onto the floor they packed into the pit tightly from the very start because it was relatively small but that would not stop them from leaving everything they had there throughout the evening. All four bands also did a fantastic job of engaging those not in the pit but in seats throughout the venue and ensuring that they too were having a great time wherever they were.
